Product Specialist (Bilingual - English/French) for Quebec

Job Summary:
Director Global Business Strategy, Commercial Launch and Performance is a unique strategic position, shaping commercial focus and execution and driving launch excellence across the commercial organization.
This position will set the vision and strategy and coordinate execution to deliver on sales, margin, and market share goals. The Director is responsible for collaborating with Directors, Product Managers, Marketing Managers and Sales Leaders to support commercial strategic initiatives, launch readiness, performance tracking, diagnosis, and solution generation as needed to support the achievement of the Company’s goals.

Specifically, the Director in partnership with commercial leadership will lead strategic assessments, identify gaps, and prioritize improvement opportunities to maximize the performance and will provide implementation/execution support for key programs. This position reports to Vice President, Strategy, Global Upstream Marketing and Analytics.

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with the commercial leadership to strengthen each strategic growth agenda and ensure alignment with the Company’s strategic priorities.
  • Lead efforts to generate new growth opportunities and provide oversight, implementation, and support to help maximize the value of these initiatives.
  • In partnership with commercial teams to identify and develop strategic initiatives by providing advice, leadership, and/or implementation support (e.g., Growth Strategy, Gross Margin Improvement, Sales Force Alignment/Expansion, et al.).
  • Act as a thought partner for the Sr. Vice President on key business issues.
  • Work across the business to develop/enhance and deploy strategies, processes, and systems to support commercial success (e.g., forecasting, promotional resource optimization, pricing framework).
  • Conduct performance deep dives and participate periodic business reviews to identify and address business issues and opportunities and launch initiative to drive progress toward business objectives.
  • Identify key business questions/issues, formulate hypotheses, collect qualitative and quantitative data necessary to evaluate the hypotheses, perform analysis and summarize conclusions/ recommendations with minimal guidance.
  • Develop and optimize appropriate performance metrics and dashboards; produce monthly Dashboard.

Education or Formal Training Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics Market Research, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Social Science, Business, or other Scientific degrees or equivalent required.
  • Advanced degree in Business Analytics Market Research, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Social Science, Business, other Scientific degree or equivalent preferred – MBA from top-tier school preferred.
  • Strategy consulting experience is preferred from either top-tier strategy consulting firms or a boutique specializing on business consulting to Pharma/Med Tech

Qualifications Required:

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate actionable analytical findings and translate strategy into pragmatic tactical execution plans.
  • Agile thinker, self-starter who possesses a high degree of self-confidence, growth mindset, and intellectual curiosity and exhibits a bias for action.
  • Demonstrated record of defining and executing strategy including gaining buy-in from diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships with all levels of management, associates, and customers.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment.
  • People management experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Written and verbal fluence in English is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Global experience preferred, experience working across cultures.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% (both domestic and international).

Travel requirement: 20-30%, both international and domestic.

Salary Range: 160-200k
